Wombstories
Challenging the simplistic narrative of womanhood, Wombstories gives voice to a range of unrepresented experiences, from endometriosis to miscarriage to the decision not to have children all the way through to menopause; shown in a way they’ve never been seen before, through a series of animated ‘wombdwellers’ individually crafted for each woman, from a loving wombgardener to an endometriosis wombmonster. ‘Nails the female experience better than any Hollywood film has done in a century’, according to a UK film critic. Driven by the response to the campaign’s treatment of endometriosis we then launched Painstories, a mobile-first pain dictionary to challenge the 1-10 painscale and redefine the way women’s pain is reported visualised and diagnosed.
